Newspaper Report on the retirement of Harry Boast reads as follows:-
"40 years on the bottles!
The milk float has been parked for good and the bottles delivered for the last time by Stradbroke’s milkman, who had retired after 40 years on the rounds.
Mr Harry Boast, of Framlingham Road, Laxfield, said goodbye to his loyal customers at a party in his honour at the village hall on Saturday.
Over 150 people went to see the popular milko presented with a thank you cheque of £850, and a glass bowl engraved with a milk float and bottles.
His wife Mary received a bouquet of flowers and the Rev. Davis Streeter said Mr Boast would be sorely missed".
