Henry Thirkettle 1854-1936 born at Burgate - Twelth child of John Thirkettle. He married Janet Strickland who was born in Dorset and became a teacher at Denham and Needham National School. Henry was educated Botesdale Grammar School and became a farmer at Wilby. He became Relieving and Vaccination officer for Stradbroke, Hartismere district. Also and Inspector under the ChildLife Protection and Parish clerk to Stradbroke and Fressingfield. He is buried in Stradbroke.
