THE LATE MRS. ANNIE MAYHEW. The funeral took place on Saturday at Stradbroke Cemetery, of Mrs. Annie Mayhew, who died Thursday week at her residence New Street, Stradbroke. A large number friends and acquaintances were present. Pastor J. Oliver (Stradbroke Baptist Chapel) officiated and the chief mourners w ere: Mr. Arthur Mayhew (son); the Misses Edna and Nancy Mayhew (daughters); Mrs. Warne, Mrs. Archer, and Mrs. Abbott (sisters); the Misses Ivy and Nora Archer (nieces); Mr. David Warne (nephew); Mrs. W. Clarke, Mrs. Riches (Ipswich), Miss Hart, Miss Goshawk, Mrs. F. Watts, Mrs. Honey ball, Mrs, Read, Mrs. J. Aldous, Mrs. Gissing, Mrs. Muttock, Mrs. Shellcot, Mr. J. Smith, Mrs. Sheldrake, and others The late Mrs. Mayhew was a well-known resident of the village. Aged 41 years, she was a native of Worlingworth but had lived in Stradbroke for the past 16 years. She was keenly interested *in politics and was a staunch supporter of the Libera! Party principles, having acted as lion, secretary to the local Liberal Association since its formation about a year ago. Mrs. Mayhew attended the Stradbroke Baptist Chapel.'
