Geoffrey Smith was a prolific photographer of life in the village of Stradbroke in the 1950s to 1980s. Generally working with black and white film, he captured a window in time, where people are going about their daily lives and taking part in the life of the village.
Many of the subjects in the photographs are still living in the village today, and remember having their photographs taken at a time when photography as a hobby was becoming popular.
Geoffrey left a huge legacy. His children, Michael and Linda have thousands of photographs, not only of their childhood, but also of the village they grew up in. Their generosity has allowed the Stradbroke Archive and Records Association to share them with you.

Please respect the generosity of Geoffrey's family, and observe the Creative Commons Licence conditions, and respect that the copyright stays with the Smith family.
