The RBL Stradbroke branch was formed in 1921. Four years later the new British Legion hut was opened in New Street and members photographed to mark the occasion.

Drummer boy, Roland Walter Lines aged 15.

Roland Walter Lines Guardsman aged 15 as a Drummer boy. He died 19th May 1940 aged 20 years whilst serving in the Grenadier Guards. Roland was the son of Edgar and Ruby Lines. Edgar was a surveyor and the family lived in White House Queen Street.
